Rand Stagen
“Enthusiasm for Conscious Business gets fueled by being around other people that have the same interest, but if we want to have an impact in the world, we have to work with the masses.â€
It is this insight that has underpinned Rand Stagen’s 11 year journey into the world of transformational business. How do we get to the very heart of transformation with companies and organizations? And not only the heart of the matter, but our own hearts and the love for one another. Listen as Rand explains what has driven him to do the pioneering work he has become known for, and how you can learn from his experiments.
In this interview we discuss…
- Why the most complex problems facing our society are not going to be solved with old approaches.
- How Rand adapts his communication style from Texas conservatives to international CEO’s in Singapore.
- The importance of practicing our Work from the heart and not just the mind
- What practices Rand is using to “meet people where they areâ€
- How Rand has learned to become highly skilled at bringing the conscious business perspective to a traditional business world

I just LOVED doing this interview with Rand. He's such an uncommon mix of precision business strategy along with a great big heart. I find that combination both inspiring and utterly important for this whole conscious business movement. I loved the image of him thinking about his grandfather when driving to see his traditional clients.
What did you appreciate about it? Would love to hear your thoughts…
I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation at what comes through strongly is the power of authenticity. This being unafraid to be who you are without any hint of manipulation. He was also spot on in terms of meeting them where they are at. I love the old phrase scratch them where they itch. Finally, I do think we can help with deep change by being 100% focused on their needs.
P.S. Kept getting invalid email message when I tried to post. Even though I use this email everyday!
Ewan and WUTWP team – thank you for this conscious business opening. Really enjoying it.
I think what struck me most powerfully was to learn to relate to others from a deep personal sense of my own remembering and development through of each worldview. On a vision quest I did many moons age I created Life Journey Map and after Rand finished speaking I was called to looked it out. I have had such fun reconnecting with this and seeing the stages of my life journey through the lens of stage development. I see now that I had gathered lots of the words and concepts for each worldview which never quite had a ease of remembering.
After this talk I felt something unlock and I saw that I was holding a vague sense of giving away of my current stage if I got too familiar with earlier ones. Ho hum!!!!
Off now to listen to Bill – I did an on line intensive with him and Mary Stacey last year and subsequently trained in the Harthill Leadership Development profile so am looking forward to this
I really liked the call aswell! Really appreciate his strategy to create impact. Also awesome how he explains what skills are most important and how to develop them!
I would like to save this on my iPod to listen to later…all I seem to be able to do is "open" it to play on my computer.
Hi Steve,
Have you tried right-clicking and 'saving as'? That should download the file to your computer so you can then put it on your iPod using iTunes… That's what I most often do!
Loved this interview with Rand, he's been really influential on my thinking ever since we first interviewed him in 2011!
I'm having the same problem. Working on a MacBook Pro. There is nothing to right click.

First want to say thank you guys again for pulling this second series together!
I find helpful Rand's discussion around finding those aspects of himself from the appropriate level of his own development where he can meet the client. So while I have done some of this intuitively in the moment with clients/co-workers, I now know what I can work on (practice) to improve my communication and my "being" with others who see the world from different perspectives. Great stuff!
Yes. I think it's a powerful pointer to find examples of different worldviews in your self or your familly, so you can take those to heart when meeting people where they're at.
I have not listened yet but I wanted to thank you all for connecting me to this group of forward thinking changemakers. You all have really inspired me. I am grateful!
Thanks Patty! A pleasure as always 🙂
Next dialogue coming up tomorrow!

As far as I can tell having a beginning time and a completion time for the gathering is vital, and notwithstanding making gauges to what extent it may take for the dialog of specific plan things, else one can stall out right on time in the gathering and not wrap up all motivation things. I lean toward having a plan and having other key participants add to that motivation heretofore so everybody knows the focal point of the talks and can get ready rationally and something else. I loathe time squandering because of getting stalled in random data instead of tending to the imperative stuff. Online nursing assignments help
